Paula has a background in landscape design and education. She has worked on numerous residential design projects, school gardens, and was head gardener for a private estate garden in Pacific Palisades where she coordinated the installation of a 43,000 gallon underground cistern. She provides presentations for groups from pre-schoolers to landscape architects, teaches classes and consults with homeowners about water conservation, rainwater harvesting and other aspects of healthy watersheds. Her designs have been featured in the L.A. Garden Show, Beverly Hills Design Showcase (winning ‘Best use of Recycled Materials’), and garden tours in Venice, Santa Monica and Mar Vista. Paula has appeared on HGTV, as well as several award-winning educational videos and has written for Pacific Horticulture, The Designer, Atomic Ranch and Spigot Science magazines. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from UCLA, a certificate in Horticulture and Gardening and in Early Childhood Education from UCLA Extension, is certified as an EPA Water Wise Landscape Professional, and is an American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARSCA) accredited professional.
